My Favorite Place

As weird as it sounds, my favorite place is Oklahoma. I've traveled all over the western side and some in the Northeast as well as the Southeastern part of the state. To me, there's so much diversity in the landscape that you have to see it all. I love the Oklahoma sky, to the point that I've taken countless pictures across the state of just the sky. Last semester I took a history class and a literature class focused on Oklahoma. I really enjoyed both of them, and I love to travel especially across my home state.

  1. Those Oklahoma sky pictures are GORGEOUS, Aleshia! And there's nothing like a photograph to give people a sense of place. I am so glad that we have Wikipedia and Flickr and other image sources online so that if people want to SEE what these places in India look like, you can do that; just put the name of a place in Google, and then see what comes up.

And links in Blogger: it's usually more helpful to your readers to create a text link, instead of using the raw URL. So just type the text, highlight, then click the link button to create the link: Oklahoma by Nick Youngson CC BY-SA 3.0 Alpha Stock Images ... human language for humans, computer language for computers :-)

  2. Hey Aleshia! I LOVE Oklahoma! It is definitely unique for you to put it as your favorite place, but I like it! You are so right that there is an incredible amount of diversity in the landscape in Oklahoma! The panhandle is almost like a desert (sort of). But most of eastern Oklahoma has incredibly dense forests! There are even some awesome mountains in the Wichita mountain range like Mount Scott or Quartz Mountain. Don't forget the awesome rivers as well! Or even black mesa! There are so many wonderful things to see in our great state.
